ConsolidatorsCheap Flights!
ConsolidatorsCheap Flights!
Our Pauper loves to save money using an airfare consolidator. These consolidators contract with airlines to get tickets at cheaper rates than the general public. Because they buy large blocks of tickets the airlines love them.
Though you can get really good deals by knowing how to use consolidators remember they are not structured for great service. They’re playing the quantity game not the holdyourhand game. If you need personal attention use your travel agent instead.
The best time to use consolidators is during high travel times of the year. Other than these peak travel times consolidators don’t really offer much better rates than those offered in the lowest advertised fares. Yet you can enjoy 2030 off when you decide to travel during Christmas for instance.
The other good time to turn to consolidators is if you are traveling on short notice. Unlike the airlines they don’t penalize you for traveling on the spur of the moment.
Always use a credit card with consolidators. Some consolidators can charge high fees if you change your plans and/or cancel your flight. So make sure you understand what the policy on cancellations and refunds is.
In this article I’ll give you a list of consolidators that are available to you directly or through your travel agent.
In addition I’d recommend you purchase a copy of Consumer Reports Travel Letter which is available at most libraries or you can subscribe for 39. Write to: Consumer Reports Travel Letter 101 Truman Avenue Yonkers NY 107031057.

Conserving The Indigenous Presenting The International Species – Auckland Zoo
Conserving The Indigenous Presenting The International Species – Auckland Zoo
Auckland Zoo opened in 1922 though its history dates to a time before that year. The first few years were difficult but by 1930 a zoological society was formed and the zoo had a large variety of animals. One of the most significant directors the zoo has had was Lt. Col. Sawer under whose leadership the zoo saw a phase of consolidation. This was during the Second World War and after that the collection of animals also increased to include many new species.
Chimpanzees came into the zoo in the 1950s mainly to entertain people for tea parties that were held in the premises. But the parties were stopped in 1964.The zoo spread into the adjacent Western Springs park in 1973. Since the 1980s till date a constant effort is underway to phase out old exhibits and incorporate newer and modern enclosures.
The present zoo is segregated on the basis of biome taxonomy or depending on the region of origin of that particular species. The zoo has a major role to play in the conservation of species mainly in New Zealand as well as research and education. It has many modern divisions like the New Zealand Center for Conservation Medicine NZCCM. The largest addition of the zoo will be the Te Wao Nui that will open in 2010 which will exhibit the local flora and fauna.
Auckland is undoubtedly a place to explore at leisure because rushing things will only make you miss out on some of the timeless and hidden treasures of a culture born out of ancient Maori tribes and modern immigrants. You’ll find plenty of hotels in Auckland that suit your needs and once you checkin you can get the hotel concierge to help you with your travel plans.
