Suggested Europe Travel Itinerary Italy
Suggested Europe Travel Itinerary Italy
Italy is truly a feast for the senses for the average European traveler. An Italy itinerary will connect a person with the joy and passion of life whether that is an authentic pasta and wine Italian meal in Milan high fashion in Rome beautiful architecture and history in Florence or a romantic walk by the canals of Venice.
For the average person with two weeks of time available to see Italy it can be a challenge to see as much as possible during this time. Thus one must be organized and plan ahead to have an effective travel itinerary.
As an experienced traveler in Italy I recommend the following actionpacked and interesting itinerary so you can enjoy the best of Italy during your two weeks:
1. Rome 4 days including a day trip to Naples to see Pompeii
travel to Florence 2 hours
2. Florence 3 days including a day trip to a Tuscany town such as Siena
travel to Cinqueterre near Pisa 3 hours
3. Cinqueterre 2 days
travel to Verona 6 hours
4. Verona 2 days
travel to Venice 2 hours
5. Venice 3 days
With all these wellknown destinations which one will be your favorite city in Italy? That is for you to decide but I can tell you mine. It is Rome.
Every person should visit the Eternal City of Rome at least once in their life. This city was the most important place in the world for many centuries and its influence lasts today with the Vatican and the Catholic Church. Of course on a basic Rome itinerary one must visit the ancient sites like the Colisseum and the ruins of the Forums as well as more modern sights such as Trevi Fontain and the Spanish Steps. A few days in this fastpaced metropolis are such a pleasure! Also a worthy day trip located a few hours south is the amazing preserved city of Pompeii resting in the shadows of Mount Vesuvius.
The great news is that the above Italy itinerary is only suggested and thus your exact travel itinerary is completely up to you. However you choose to construct your travel itinerary the key point is to take action and start planning your trip instead of putting if off for maybe next year.

Strike Action Putting Holidays At Risk
Strike Action Putting Holidays At Risk
Workers going on strike is happening more and more these days worryingly it seems to affect almost every aspect of our lives whether we support the action or not. Recent strikes by tanker drivers saw the petrol and diesel supplies in the UK running dry and many people disagreed with the decision to go on strike and throwing the whole of the country into turmoil.
Well now our holidays in the sun have come under threat as many flight companies have been hit by striking workforces all over the globe that could create havoc for millions of holiday makers this summer.
Australian flight company Qantas has recently had six flights cancelled but is expected to worsen with 18 further potential cancellations as engineers have stated they will walk out over pay disputes. The Australian Licensed Aircraft Engineers Association has demanded a 5 pay increase but the airline is only offering 3 the reason for their nonbudging stance is ironically to do with the cost of fuel again. The rising cost of fuel has meant that airlines have felt the pinch more so than other industries.
People taking flights to Australia this year have been warned about these strikes especially after a recent two day strike grounded 17 flights travellers are advised to check the status of flights with Qantas regularly before flying as well as ensuring that your travel insurance covers any potential delays/rearrangement fees that could be brought in if the strike affects your flight.
Its not just flights down under that are affected some Scottish airports have similar pay disputes that will likely lead to flight cancellations too. The organisation that runs airports the Highlands and Islands Airports Limited HIAL has stated that flights to Orkney Shetland and some other western islands will be worst affected but most flights will operate as usual.
Obviously no one likes it when workers go on strike as it tends to affect the average person in this case the holidaymaker worst. Still its important that when preparing to go on holiday you cover yourself for all eventualities. flights being delayed or cancelled are things that can be covered by travel insurance and so when getting ready for your holidays make sure that youre covered as sometimes this delay could mean more than just getting to your destination later than planned but it would mean you pay for your hotel room even though you arent staying there as well as other things like car hire from the airport that you may have booked.
